I have a sliding gate that was badly damaged by car driving into it. The steel frame needs to be repaired or replaced. After somebody with some experience in making the electric VEVOR gate motor open and close at my house, as photos indicate the motor is mounted and powered up, but I’m having trouble linking the remotes/keypad etc and the magnets which shut off the motor.

I’ve got an automated Colorbond sliding gate that needs cutting down 300mm and re-welding. This is a fabrication job, not a handyman job. Only quote if you can weld steel properly and leave it square and true. The gate has to run back on its track and work with the motor once you’re done, so it has to go back together dead straight. What’s involved: Cut the steel frame down 300mm, keeping the cut square across both sides. Cut the Colorbond infill sheet to match. Re-weld the frame rail back on so the gate is the correct height and still square. Grind welds back clean. Prime and touch up all cut and welded edges Re-hang the gate on the track and check it runs true through its full travel. You’ll need your own welder, grinder, and gear. Job is in Frankston. Please tell me in your quote what welding experience you’ve got and whether you’ve worked on automated gates before.

The rail for our sliding gate has lifted after a bolt came loose. We have tried screwing it back in but it likely needs a new bolt and something to seal it down. There is a hole in the concrete for it to go into.

I am purchasing a custom automated sliding gate kit (5m and 3.3m spans). My partner tried to replace the existing gate with colourbond sliding gate. As he was temporarily fixing it the strong wind blew it over. Looking for a handyman, concreter, or landscaper to complete a small concrete beautifying job around three steel posts supporting an outdoor sliding gate. Scope of work: Prepare and tidy the area around each post. Form and pour small rectangular concrete patches around 3 gate posts. Finish the concrete neatly and level with the surrounding surface. Clean up the work area on completion. This is a relatively small job, to reiterate no structural work, just to finish the area around posts. My driveway entry gate is not functioning properly and needs attention/service. It’s an automatic sliding gate powered by a Tau K100M motor. See photos. The gate will not open without manual effort as the cog on the motor will not grip on the gate frame (to pull and slide it open). It closes no problem. I have a video that shows this clearly. I’ve examined the parts and there doesn’t appear to be any wear and tear causing this. I suspect it just needs realignment now and then.
