I’ve been gifted a shiny new filtered shower head (the Afina Filtered Shower Head, for reference — I’ve included a photo). Very excited to use it… except my current setup is an ancient brass shower system, and sadly, the new head won’t fit. Cut out the current gyprock/plasterboard around the shower head approx 40 cm2, check there is no leak in the water lines that feed to the shower head, replace with a new piece of white gyprock (you will need to supply) that is water resistant/rated to use in bathroom, and replace the shower head (I have already purchased the new shower head, see photos).
