Hello, I'm on the petite side and is looking for someone to help sew a dress with fabrics i can provide, as it is always a struggle to buy modest clothes that fit smaller stature. This particular dress will have 2 colors. Happy to meet in person and bring my fabrics with me and explain a bit more on it. Happy to talk figures after as it depends on the pattern. I have 2 fitted bedsheets ordered online. They came in the wrong size 203x203cm (should have been 203x180cm to fit a King size mattress). I have a singer 1408 sewing machine that seems to feel very stiff and keeps jamming. Not sure what the issue is as I can’t see any thread caught so need this looked at and fixed :)

Seeking a seamstress or experienced home sewist to whip up a copy of a dress I already own and love (I find it difficult to find styles & fabrics I am comfortable in). Photos included for reference — it has a looser, drapey top and a double-layered ruched skirt, and I’m hoping to recreate that overall shape and feel. The size is ~ Aus 18-20. I already have what should be adequate fabric: the aqua, navy, and white patterned knit shown in the photos. It came from a remnant box so there’s no label, but it’s very likely an ITY (polyester/elastane) knit — very stretchy, fluid, and cool to the touch. This is intended to be a summer version of the dress. It doesn’t need to be couture or factory-perfect — just well made, wearable, and comfortable. I’m specifically looking for someone with experience sewing stretch and knit fabrics. I could sew this myself, but knits aren’t my usual comfort zone, so I’d love to work with someone confident handling them. I’m flexible and practical. Sleeve and skirt length can be adjusted to suit the available fabric, and I’m very happy with a cowl neck if that’s easier than recreating the original neckline. I also have a modern Janome sewing machine and overlocker, which you’re welcome to use at my place if helpful. Friendly project, realistic expectations, original dress provided as reference. My BROTHER LS-2150 sewing machine is malfunctioning. The thread frequently comes loose or breaks. The stitching will be fine initially, but then the threads will suddenly stop interlacing and loosen. The machine has potential, but needs to be adjusted or know what i'm doing wrong to resolve these issues. i am happy to bring it to you.

Old couch needs replacement covers made. There are 5 cushions total with the largest being the one at the back. I have material and the old cushions and covers that I want replicated.
