my partner has a sentimental pair of shorts which have started getting holes due to how much wear they get. For his birthday, I want to sew him a new pair exactly the same, using the old ones as a pattern. I have a sewing machine, and can provide the material, but I need help getting the pattern from the old pair. I don't have a photo, they're a pretty standard pair of shorts with pockets and a non-elastic waist. Thank you!

I've got a pair of heated motorcycle gloves off eBay. They are old and the fastening strap has come off (and been lost). I need to replace it with something elastic (to go around the wrist). I might be able to repurpose the strap from these old ski gloves (also pictured)

I have a basic skill level of sewing, and was taught to sew in school (many moons ago). I have recently acquired a very good second hand machine that I had serviced and I want to learn to sew upholstery cushions, attach zippers, cut my own patterns and then hopefully advance to more complex things. Tasks include: stitching sequin trim onto neckline and shoulder strap, hemming skirt, attaching trims to skirt and sewing fabric arm band.
