Step 1: Install the camera in the best position
Most cameras are designed to attach to your number plate, but your installer will determine the correct placement for your type of vehicle to ensure maximum visibility. For larger cars or commercial vehicles, they may need to attach the camera in a higher position to give you the visibility you need.
Step 2: Connect the power supply
Minor electrical work is completed to connect the camera to the power source, usually the wires powering your rear tail lights. Once the installation is completed, your camera will activate when you select reverse gear.
Step 3: Install the camera monitor for viewing
It’s important that your monitor is installed in a comfortable position for you to view images safely while reversing as well as ensure a clear view through the windscreen. Monitors can be mounted on the windscreen or dash, or you may choose to install an integrated option that combines your reversing monitor with your rear-view mirror. I purchased a new screen for my Toyota Corolla 2018 that has car play. I got a friend to install it for me and everything is working perfectly except they couldn’t figure out how to connect my cars original reverse camera to the screen. The manual for the new screen says it is possible and I even went to Autobarn and purchased a specific Toyota reverse camera adapter but my friend still couldn’t figure it out. He tried for hours so I really don’t want to waste anyone else’s time as well, please only respond if you’re confident you can do it.

I have hooked up a new reverse camera but all that I have tried it just isn't working so need assistance in getting it to work. I can pull out the unit before you arrive so you have access to the back of it and once working I can run the cords to the back just need help in getting it to work.
