Hi there, I am looking for an experienced local handyman, fencer, or landscaper to come for a site inspection and provide a quote for our boundary fence issue in Eight Mile Plains. Job Details: Boundary length: Approx. 30 metres. Current Setup: Timber fence with steel posts. The Issue: The entire fence line is leaning severely towards the neighbouring property due to ground/footing movement. Site Condition: Natural slope / upslope property. What I Need: I want to explore viable options and get quotes for: Option A (Repair/Straighten): Is it possible to re-excavate, realign, and re-concrete the steel posts/footings to save the fence? (Timber panels and steel posts are still structurally intact). Option B (Rebuild): Cost for a full reconstruction (e.g. Colorbond or timber fence replacement, with or without a retaining wall solution if necessary for stability). H & C joiner 1.2m posts; 1.2m x 3+2 sleepers Sections 3 to 7 have a low 2 sleeper parallel garden edge that is 35cm from the wall. The posts for the retaining wall and garden edge are in rhe same extended hole with the retaining wall post holes much deeper. The concrete sleeper retaining wall is parallel to an existing hardwood sleeper wall that braces the sleepers to a slight slope from the vertical. The timber wall is to be retained. Concrete either via bags, mixed on site or concrete taxi. I am seeking to lower costs. Retaining wall is at rear of level property with side access 1.5m wide. Job max 2 days for two people to get bases level and posts positioned and vertical and sleepers inserted second day. I can supply hot dip gal posts, sleepers, bag concrete. Labour for two men at ~$400/day each. Past experience necessary for this type of work.
