The purpose is to have: • One outlet dedicated to the fridge, and • One outlet for a modem / router Currently there is only a single power point in this location, and I would like it upgraded to a double power point for safety and proper usage. The job involves replacing the existing socket and ensuring the installation is compliant with Australian electrical standards. Please quote including labour and materials. Note apartment is an old one built in 1970s.

Hi, I need a licensed electrician to relocate an existing power point. Current setup: The existing power point cable is currently coming down from the ceiling (see photo, marked in red). It is already connected and live. What’s needed: Relocate the power point to the left side of the new door opening, lower down on the wall (see red mark in photo). Cable may be slightly short, so a compliant extension/junction box will likely be required. Ensure safe, neat installation to Australian standards. Timing: This needs to be done tomorrow (before 3pm) before the builder returns to install the architrave/door frame.
