The sides of the wall are solid and in great condition. The issue is the internal structure of the planter boxes — the timber framing underneath is rotting out and the bluestone tiles on top are lifting/shifting as a result. Work required: Demo and remove all rotted timber framing from inside the planter box openings Rebuild the internal planter box frames using steel or masonry (no timber) Apply waterproofing membrane to all internal planter surfaces Re-lay bluestone tiles to match existing (grey/blue tone, approx 600x600) Grout and seal all tiling Clean up and remove all waste What's staying: The stacked stone wall sides are NOT to be touched. I am after a brick planter box to replace a rotten timber retaining wall in my yard. The box will act as the division between my driveway and my lawned area which are on different levels. On driveway side I only need 2-3 bricks high. On the lawn side I’m imagining 900-1000mm high. Approx. 900-1000mm wide. Approx. 15m long. I’d like this in recycled red brick. The boxes are 160 x 80 x 80 dimension - galvanised steel - hopefully pic comes through else here is a link which may or may not work. Structure appears to be lots of panels and lots of screws. We need our current decking extended and a planter box built alongside the fence line. Approximately new decking area will be 9m x 2.2m. Planter box 9m x 0.5m. Hoping that I can paint the old decking (is timber) so it ends up matching the new extension installed. I will be taking off the side railings you can see so that it opens up and makes it a bigger outdoor area. Please quote including labour and materials.
