Looking for a motorbike mechanic preferably someone who has knowledge with 190cc Zhongshen dirtbikes. Bike was running great before until crank bolt fell out and ruined the stator. Stator was replaced with exact same part number and generates spark but does not fire up.

Original 4 cylinder Isuzu diesel motor in a 1976 motorhome. Takes a while to get started but does start and blows a lot of smoke. Probably hasn’t been serviced in years and old fuel in the tank. I’d like to save the motor and get it running smoothly again if financially better than an engine swap as these were iconic back in their day.

Hi, my 2015 Hyundai iMax won't start. When I turn the key, it makes a rapid "clack-clack-clack" noise, but the engine isn't turning over. The dashboard lights are on. ​I suspect it might be a dead starter issue. Been noticing a trend on here lately that's honestly a bit concerning — jobs getting quoted at $50, $60, sometimes less, for work that should realistically be $150–200 minimum. I get it, everyone's trying to get work. But when we race to the bottom on price, we're not just undercutting each other — we're telling customers that a trained mechanic's time is worth less than a tradie doing a quote just to show up. Think about it: insurance, tools, travel, experience, liability. That $60 quote doesn't cover any of it properly. And then customers start expecting that rate as the norm. Here's what gets me — scroll through Airtasker and you'll see movers charging $35 per 15 minutes. No shade to them at all, moving is hard work. But they've got endless demand and they're holding their rate. We've got way less volume of jobs on here, and somehow we're charging less? That doesn't add up. This isn't about overcharging anyone. Rates will always vary depending on the job, location, complexity — that's fair. But there's a difference between pricing smart and pricing yourself into the ground. We should be able to charge a fair amount for skilled work. If we don't value our own time, no one else will. Curious what other mechanics think — are you holding your rates or feeling the pressure to drop?

Mechanic must be experienced with the Barra engine. My 2006 BF Fairmont starter motor died and I have a new genuine Ford starter motor ready to install, but I can't reach the notorious top bolt to the bellhousing.
