But when the mechanic came to look, the - Engine cranks but won’t start - Cylinder 2 & 4 ignition coils not firing - Low voltage at ECU trigger wires to coils - Previously had intermittent charging issues - Alternator behaviour has been inconsistent - Diagnostic tool previously struggled to connect What’s already been checked: - Battery replaced (new) - Fuel pump working - Fuses checked (all OK) - Continuity from alternator to battery OK - Alternator exciter wire previously had 14V, then 0V - Ground cable visually inspected (may still need proper load testing) - Spark issue identified on cylinders 2 & 4 What we need: - Proper electrical diagnosis (ECU power/ground, wiring, voltage drop testing) - Someone experienced in wiring faults, ECU circuits, and ignition systems - Not looking for parts replacement without diagnosis - Thinking maybe something up with the key and sending the signal to start as the spare key behaves similarly.
