I attempted to replace the starter pull cord on my Toro mower (Briggs & Stratton 163cc engine) but need help finishing the job. The old rope has been removed, and I have the new rope and handle ready. Just need someone to properly feed and tie the new cord into the recoil pulley, preload the spring, and reassemble the housing. Mower is in otherwise good condition. I suspect that our lawnmower is leaking petrol. The mower is a Masport 550AL with a Briggs & Stratton 650 engine. The mower works but any leftover petrol in the petrol tank gradually dissipates.
