Hi, I’m looking for an experienced car audio technician to install a new 10.25-inch Android Head Unit / Screen in my 2010 BMW 1 Series Convertible (E88). The car currently has the factory radio (Non-iDrive version). I have already purchased the head unit kit, which includes the screen, wiring harness, and GPS antenna. Task includes: • Careful removal of the factory head unit and trim. • Installing the new 10.25" Android screen (dashboard mount/replacement). • Routing the GPS antenna and USB cables (to the glovebox or center console). • Connecting and testing Apple CarPlay/Android Auto and steering wheel controls. • Ensuring no damage to the interior trim or dashboard. Requirements: • Must have experience with BMW E8x/E9x models and fiber optic/Canbus systems. • Must bring your own tools (trim removal tools, screwdrivers, etc.). • Mobile service preferred (can be done at my location in Hurstville). Please let me know your experience with similar BMW installs. Thank you!

Update: I’ve done most of the install myself. Just need the little bits to get the rear speakers, arial & reverse camera back working. I am looking for someone to swap out a faulty 2022 Android head unit for a brand-new Wondefoo slimline model in my 2007 Audi A3. The screen on the old unit has failed, so I already have the replacement ready to go. All the time-consuming work—wiring, GPS antenna, and reverse camera—is already installed and fully functional. I just need a quick hardware swap. The Task: Unplug the existing unit. Connect the new unit (I have the new wiring harness/diagram). Verify power pins match to ensure a safe startup. Map the existing steering wheel controls in the settings. This is a very straightforward "in and out" job for anyone familiar with aftermarket Android head units.

Very disappointing experience. The head unit was installed without the sound being tested. After Marwan left, we realized it wasn't working. He has subsequently ignored attempts to contact him and remedy the situation. We confirmed with the manufacturer and a new installer that the aux cable was left unconnected. Be aware that if there is an issue, he may not return to fix it.
