Looking for planting design and installation for a small courtyard (approx 10m x 4m). Want an informal, cottage-garden feel — mixed heights, plants spilling over the existing bed edging rather than kept in neat rows, with some colour for my wife. Productive focus: tomatoes, cucumbers, herbs (basil, lemongrass, Vietnamese herbs, Mediterranean herbs) among others. Remove just the wood planks retaining the garden beds which are on 2.5 sides of the garden. I’ve tried hitting them with a mallet to jiggle them but I’m not very strong. Not sure how deep they go.
