Hi, I’ve managed to mount an LED light using an extension lead form existing PowerPoint to keep my garage door opener running, but I think installing a power point would look less messy. Could do it myself, but it would void the warranty & my insurance 😅, hence, need a licensed electrician to carry out the installation. A external mount is fine; no need to chase the wall. There is a deepish scraped mark on my garage door and the size is thumb length. Would like to get it repair and painted to maintain the same look with the rest of the door.

The bolt which, when the key is turned in the closed position, should lock and hold the garage door from opening, unfortunately does not do so. Once the door is closed, it can still be opened by pulling lightly on the handle. I think one of the following two things may be causing the lock problem. The first version of the lock mechanism itself works too loose and needs to be adjusted.The second version possibly the problem arose because the bolt had nothing to grab onto to hold the door closed. In this case, it would only be necessary to deepen the hole so that the bolt would have something to catch on.

The spring on one side of the tilt garage door has become detached from the door. Bracket spring was attached to has been partially worn through causing the spring to detach. Need this repaired.
