No matter the size or complexity of your move, your removalist will ensure your equipment is handled safely and efficiently.
A typical gym equipment removals service through Airtasker can include the following:
Disassembly and packing
Your gym equipment removalist will start by disassembling any larger items, like racks, benches, and stands. They’ll pack any small pieces (like accessories and smaller weights) into boxes. For larger equipment that can’t be disassembled, they’ll carefully wrap or pad this out with blankets and bubble wrap to protect it during transit.
Next, they’ll transport heavier items on trolleys, before loading them into the ute tray, trailer, or truck. Your removalist will add more old blankets to add padding between items and stop them from moving around during the drive. If it’s a ute or trailer, they’ll add a tarp on top to protect your items from the weather and secure everything with ratchet straps.
Transport and delivery
Once everything’s loaded, your gym equipment removalist will transport your items safely to their new location. They’ll drive cautiously, especially around corners, bumps, and turns, to keep your equipment stable and secure. On arrival, they’ll park as close as possible to the entrance for efficient unloading.
Unpacking and setting up
Your gym equipment removalist will unload the items from the truck, trailer, or ute tray. They’ll use a trolley to safely transport bigger and heavier items. This may require an extra person, whether you pitch in to help, or hire a second removalist to help with the heavy lifting.
