We're looking for a professional event photographer to capture high-quality photos at our upcoming event, Thorny Devil Fire & Ice, which is the kick-off celebration for Mandurah Crab Fest.Event Details:Date: Friday, 13 March 2026 Time: 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM (we'd like you to arrive by 5:30 PM for setup and stay until the end for full coverage) Location: Southern End of Mandurah Eastern Foreshore, along Mandurah Terrace, Mandurah, WA (outdoor waterfront setting) Event Overview: This is a ticketed evening event with a capacity of up to 500 guests (expecting 250-400 attendees). It features shared smokehouse BBQ platters, craft beers and drinks from Thorny Devil, live music by Slim Jim & the PHATTS, fire twirlers and performers, fire pits, and icy entertainment elements. The vibe is fun, fiery, and relaxed—perfect for capturing dynamic crowd shots, food/drinks, performances, and atmospheric waterfront scenes. What We're Looking For:Capture a mix of candid and staged photos, including: crowd interactions, food and drink setups, live performances, fire shows, guest arrivals, and overall event ambiance. Approximately 100-200 high-res edited photos (digital delivery via Dropbox or similar within 48 hours post-event). You must have your own professional camera equipment (DSLR/mirrorless with lenses suitable for low-light/evening outdoor conditions), lighting if needed, and experience in event or festival photography. Bonus if you have drone capabilities for aerial shots (must comply with local regulations). Professionalism is key—discreet, friendly, and able to work independently. If you are a freelancer, hobbyist, or emerging pro, this might be the gig for you! Budget: $400-$600 (depending on experience and deliverables; please quote in your offer).
