Repair my old Akai stereo integrated amplifier

Th volume knob on the amplifier needs to be repaired or replaced.When I increase the volume there is a loud distorted noise that comes from the speakers. The model No. is AMU-110 I bought this amplifier back in the early 1980's and it was working until about a month ago.

David did an excellent task in fixing my old amplifier and I would highly recommend him for a 5 star rating. Thanks David.
