Help Wanted: Unpacking and Sorting 150 Boxes – Practical, Focused, and Respectful Support Needed I’m looking for someone to assist with unpacking and sorting approximately 150 boxes that have recently been delivered from storage into my apartment. Space is limited, so the work needs to be done carefully and efficiently. The job includes: • Unpacking and repacking items I intend to keep • Sorting papers for scanning, shredding, or both • Separating items for sale, donation, or disposal Many of these items belonged to my late father, my uncle, and myself. This is not just a regular clean-up. It is a significant downsizing process, and some things carry emotional weight. I need someone who can approach the task with sensitivity and respect. Please do not ask for items while I am still deciding what to do with them. If I choose to give something away, that will be made clear. I have had past experiences where this boundary was not respected, and I will not tolerate that again. The right person will have: • Physical strength, as some boxes are heavy and stacked • Strong organising and categorising skills • A focused and efficient working style • The ability to respect the emotional nature of the task and the decisions being made This is not a social role. The priority is getting through the boxes with care and focus. The work will take place over several days, though not necessarily in a row. I’m flexible on scheduling, but everything needs to be sorted by mid to late July. While I do drive, I don’t currently have access to a vehicle. I’m open to renting a van for a day or two to take things to donation centres or consignment shops, but help with transport or lifting would be appreciated. Organise and declutter 5x2 storage unit. Includes minor self assembly (no tools required, easy to assemble) of 2 x clothing racks and possibly a Bunnings shelving unit if required. This is the end result of 5+ cullings already, so it’s basically organising / arranging so it’s neat, logically arranged, and easily accessible. Professional movers have already placed the heavy items so no heavy lifting required. Bins are upstairs via lift.
