Hi! I’m looking for a DIY-er who likes working on cars. I need to replace the radiator on my 2016 Subaru Impreza. I can’t afford a mechanic and am a single mum and really need my car (especially because it’s school holidays). So I’m going to try and change it myself! Hoping a fellow DIY enthusiast who loves working on cars can give me a hand. Would be amazing if you have tools you could bring (Eg car jack and stands,socket and wrench set etc). I don’t mind if you haven’t changed a radiator before - there are a lot of videos we can follow on YouTube. Would love help to do this today. It sounds like a job that will take a couple of hours (including bleeding the coolant) - if you can’t stay that long that’s ok, helping me get well under way is fine (at least an hour of your time would be appreciated). My car is in my garage in Templestowe. That’s where we’ll work on it. I’m buying a replacement radiator now and already have a new radiator cap and coolant. Initially I’d hoped it was just the cap that needed replacing but when I put the new one on, the pressure showed a small leak in the top of the radiator behind the cap. Last week I was driving, my check engine light came on. It wasn’t even 20 minutes later that I started to lose power, I ended up stopping the car with smoke pouring out of the bonnet. I NEED to know if my engine has blown. There was no loud bang but there were some light tapping noises. The aircon started playing up about a week before this had happend. And oil was re filled about 2 weeks prior.

I have a Mercedes Benz C200 2010 CGI Petrol Turbo Wagon W204 model. M271 engine type. I want to replace both engine mounts and the drivers side front wheel bearing. I have the 2 x engine mounts and the right side front wheel bearing kit, so parts supplied. At my home I have a large single car garage with good overhead lighting and concrete floor. Engine making squealing/squeaking sound, appearing to come from alternator/fan pulley belt. (when it's removed, the noise stops). Alternator replaced, belt replaced, fan clutch replaced, noise persists. Possible pulley misalignment/harmonic balancer failure.
