Hi, I’m looking for a mobile automotive A/C technician to diagnose and hopefully repair the air conditioning on my 2011 Subaru Forester in Bondi Junction. Current situation: - blower works normally - A/C light comes on - air is not getting properly cold - compressor clutch does not engage - A/C relay has already been replaced, with no change - the system has been checked and confirmed to have no refrigerant left in it - I’ve owned the car for around 3–4 years and haven’t had it regassed during that time I’m looking for someone who can come on site with proper A/C equipment and: - identify where the refrigerant leak is coming from - repair it on site if it’s something straightforward, such as an O-ring, valve, or fitting - let me know before doing anything more expensive - vacuum/leak-test the system after any repair - regas/recharge the system if appropriate - confirm the compressor engages and the A/C is cooling properly afterward Please have the appropriate leak-detection, vacuum, and refrigerant equipment, and an ARCtick refrigerant handling licence. Budget: around $200 initially for diagnosis/leak testing and regas if appropriate. Happy to pay extra for parts or additional repair work once the problem has been identified and agreed. Please let me know what equipment you have, your experience with automotive A/C, and what your diagnosis/regas pricing would be.
