Looking for an experienced carpenter / handyman to inspect and repair a timber pergola corner post and beam connection. One corner of the pergola has timber rot/water damage around the joint area. I have already removed some of the soft/rotted timber, and now need someone to: - inspect the extent of the damage, - assess whether it is cosmetic or structural, - recommend the best repair approach, - and carry out the repair if suitable. The pergola is still standing straight overall, but the timber around one corner joint appears to have deteriorated from long-term moisture exposure. Repair may involve: - timber repair/splicing, - epoxy repair, - partial timber replacement, - sanding/repainting/sealing, - and improving waterproofing around the joint. Please only apply if you have experience with outdoor timber structures, pergolas, or timber rot repairs. Would appreciate: - photos of similar work, - rough repair approach, - and an indicative quote or inspection fee.

Install a DIY Aluminum metal pergola (Miami curved pergola from exterior Life). The pergola has 2 posts, both of which slide into metal sleeves that have already been installed into concrete footing. No dyna bolt to concrete floor to fix post required. Fix post to steel sleeve using M12 bolt. All material is DIY, standard lengths, and standard screws/ bolts supplied.
