Hey there, I have a 2003 Mercedes Sprinter and I’m currently experiencing some issues with the van’s electrical system. To keep it brief: fuse #7 (under the steering wheel), which is connected to the air circulation system and the horn, kept blowing. I replaced it, but it continued to blow. At one point, I temporarily installed a higher amp fuse so I could start the van as I was stuck in the middle of the desert. The van did start, but the higher amp fuse eventually burned out as well. Once I got home, I identified the issue: a cable near the horn was exposed and touching the bare metal of the van, causing the fuse to blow. I temporarily fixed it with tape, and replaced the fuse with the correct rating. The van now starts fine, and no fuses are blowing anymore. However, I’m now experiencing the following issues: Some lights are dim (likely need replacing) The horn is not working The radio is not working I’m looking for someone who can properly troubleshoot the root cause and help repair/rework the wiring. Here’s what I’d like help with: Properly insulating and redoing the exposed cables (I currently have a temporary tape fix on 3 wires) Repairing the battery cable terminal (the screw for the negative terminal has broken) Diagnosing and fixing the underlying electrical issue Replacing any faulty lights I need this to pass a Roadworthy Certificate (RWC), as the van is currently registered interstate. I have some basic electrical knowledge and am happy to assist if needed. I can also remove the dashboard beforehand to speed things up and allow you to start troubleshooting right away. I’ve attached some photos for reference. I’m quite flexible with timing, and I’d appreciate a fixed quote if possible, as I’m currently on a budget. Any Auto sparkies on here? I bought a vw caddy van which has an after market reverse camera wired into the rear brake light but it only shows up a black screen when i put it in reverse. I bought a 2nd camera thinking that was the issue but i plugged it in and the same thing is happening. I think its wired incorrectly if anyone can help message me please. Thank you

I’ve put in a kings wing kit to my 2020 Raptor for my camping fridge but stuck on the ignition wire and where this connects, I’d prefer not to mess anything up so if anyone knows what they’re doing and could help would be great appreciated. It’s all installed it’s JUST doing the connection inside the engine bay for the ignition wire only.

My Nissan Navara (2008) is unable to switch from 2WD to 4WD, when the switch is engaged. The dashboard simply shows no difference when the switch is engaged. We replaced the starter motor and start relay for my 1990 Nissan patrol td42. Can’t find immobiliser key to start car. Need help wiring up a starter button or removing immobiliser. Either way we just need the car to start.

I recently bought an ex-QPS Hyundai iLoad. It still has leftover police wiring installed, and the van keeps beeping whenever I drive (likely from an aftermarket buzzer/module). I need an experienced auto electrician or mechanic to: • Locate and safely remove/disable the aftermarket beeper/buzzer • Clean up any leftover police wiring (lights, sirens, tracker, etc.) to prevent future issues • Check and reconnect the reverse camera – currently, when I put the van in reverse, the screen goes blank (camera is likely disconnected or not wired correctly) The van drives fine otherwise, I just want the wiring tidied up and the reverse camera working again. 2 vehicles requiring some work completed 2024 Iveco Daily - Spotlight/headlight has failed after trip. Requires diagnosis and fix - Want to investigate charge from alternator to second battery and see if this is being limited - Investigate if both solar panels are charging battery as charge rate appears as if 1 panel only charging - Panel/Battery is behind bushman fridge (upright) but on slide. Access to panel is tight and requires either small technician or fridge removed. 2021 Ford Ranger - Install GME XRS330 / Aeriel 2023 Ford Raptor (likely but not confirmed) - Install GME XRS330 / Aeriel Work space for completion is large internal garage with plenty of work space. Multiple vehicles van be worked on at once. Looking to have this completed on Thursday 7th August as Iveco is unavailable until then. If more time is required, Fords are available weekdays between now and then. Work required to be completed midday Firday 8/8 at latest. Thanks
