Flat pin connection for trailer installed just need power connected Mitsubishi triton 2019

My 2018 Holden Astra left indicator won’t work. I’ve tried replacing the bulb and this doesn’t fix the problem. When I push the wire firmly, the indicator works properly however as soon as I release the pressure the indicator fault occurs again.
