We need an experienced accountant or bookkeeper to work remotely for 1–3 months while our current accountant is on leave. We run a small commerce and wholesale operation and everything runs through MYOB Exo Business, so solid, hands-on familiarity with that ERP is critical from day one. The work can be done remotely but it would be easier if you can come in for 1 day at the start of the project for training. We are based in Melbourne. Your day-to-day focus will be: • Managing accounts payable and receivable in MYOB Exo, keeping supplier and customer ledgers current and accurate. • Performing daily bank reconciliations so our cash position is always up to date. • Preparing timely financial reports—weekly summaries for management plus month-end P&L, balance sheet, and cash-flow statements. • Inventory control and adjustments. You can work remotely through our VPN and working hours can be flexible though some overlap with 9-5 hours would be helpful for communication. We’re a small team, so you’ll liaise directly with operations and sales staff to chase missing paperwork or clarify unfamiliar transactions. To fit in quickly, you should already be comfortable with: • MYOB Exo Business modules • Basic ecommerce workflows (stock movement, merchant gateway settlements, refunds) • GST compliance for Australian businesses If you can keep our books tidy, produce reliable reports, and spot issues before they snowball, I’d love to hear how you’d approach the role and when you can start. I believe it will be approx 10-20 hours per week.
