Looking for a reliable and experienced gardener to help with regular garden maintenance for a 1-acre residential property. The main priority at this stage is lawn revival, including improving patchy/uneven grass, weed control, and helping get the lawn looking healthier over time. We’re also looking for ongoing general garden maintenance to keep the property neat and manageable. Main tasks include: Lawn revival and improvement Weed control across lawn and garden areas Improving uneven/patchy grass Regular mowing and edging Pruning, trimming, hedging, and maintaining trees around the property Garden bed tidy-up Leaf blowing and green waste cleanup General outdoor maintenance The property is approximately 1 acre, so experience with larger gardens/properties would be ideal. Photos have been added however they are from a few months ago - the grass is more overgrown and there are weeds but are generally reflective of the scope of work. Looking for someone reliable for ongoing regular maintenance, not just a once-off job. Budget: $50–60 per hour for labour. We will cover additional material costs separately, including things like topsoil, compost, sand, plants, mulch, and other agreed supplies. Please message with your experience, availability, whether you have your own equipment, and your hourly rate. Type of gardening: Lawn mowing, Garden cleanup, Hedge trimming, Other, Weeding Size of garden: Above 300m² Has green waste bin: Yes

We're looking for someone experienced in gardening or landscaping to help prepare our backyard for new garden beds. We're planning to create curved garden beds along three sides of our backyard, replacing sections of existing grass and weeds with mulched planting areas. The work required includes: Removing existing grass, weeds and underground grass runners from the designated garden bed areas. Removing old brick garden edging currently set into the lawn. Preparing the ground for new curved garden bed edging and future planting. Carefully removing grass and weeds around four established trees (lemon, orange, apricot and one large tree), without damaging their roots or trunks. Collecting and removing the excavated turf, weeds and other green waste. Approximate areas: Left fence: 9.5 m long, with proposed garden bed depth of 1.6–2.2 m. Back fence: 7.5 m long, with proposed garden bed depth of 1.0–1.4 m. Right side: approximately 4 m × 4 m, with an established apricot tree. We're estimating around 35–40 m² of garden bed preparation in total, subject to final measurements and overlapping sections. Additional information: The left and right areas are mostly patchy grass and weeds. The back fence has healthier lawn, so we'll only be removing the sections needed for the new curved bed. We have a proposed garden layout and can mark out the areas to be cleared. We're primarily looking for help with the physical labour involved in grass, weed and old edging removal. We plan to handle the planting and mulching separately. Ideally, we'd like someone who has their own tools and can advise whether a turf cutter or dingo would be suitable for the open areas. Please let us know your experience, availability, whether you can remove the green waste, and what equipment you would use. Located in Hove, SA. Photos and a proposed layout can be provided.
