I’m seeking an experienced research assistant or data analyst with a background in neuroscience, psychology, exercise science, or public health to assist with data extraction, SPSS analysis and visualisation for a systematic review examining the effects of high intensity interval training (HIIT) on depression. The work involves extracting pre and post intervention mean and standard deviation values for key outcomes such as depressive symptoms, cardiorespiratory fitness, and biomarkers from a set of journal articles (PDFs provided). You will accurately enter these values into Excel for calculation of percentage change and descriptive summaries, then import the dataset into SPSS for preliminary analysis such as descriptive statistics, correlations, or group comparisons. Data must be organised clearly and reproducibly. Requirements: Experience in data extraction for research or systematic reviews Competence in SPSS and Excel Understanding of scientific reporting conventions including means, standard deviations, and percentage change Strong attention to detail and accuracy when transcribing and checking values Deliverables: Completed Excel sheet with extracted data SPSS (.sav) file with correctly coded variables Brief documentation outlining steps taken or notes Payment: Flexible depending on experience and scope. This is for accurate, careful work by someone who has previously assisted on a thesis or publication. Delivery: Remote, within 3-6 days of acceptance. You will own the project end-to-end and either be on-site yourself or manage an on-site coordinator.
