We’ve recently moved into a new house and need a qualified builder or carpenter (chippy) to help with some secure fixings. Scope of work: • Install a ceiling-mounted canopy in a child’s bedroom • Ceiling appears to be thin drywall • Needs to be fixed securely into a joist or with appropriate heavy-duty anchors • Safety and load-bearing is essential (above a bed) • Mount two heavy wall shelves • Drywall / plasterboard walls • Shelves are weight-bearing and need to be properly anchored into studs or using suitable fixings - secure 6-8 herb racks in cupboard door Important: • Looking for someone experienced with drywall fixings and load-bearing installations • Must bring appropriate tools and advise on the best fixing method if joists/studs aren’t in ideal positions • Happy to pay for additional fixings if required Location: Hamilton Timing: ideally tomorrow but next week also okay. I’m looking for an experienced automotive spray painter to respray specific exterior parts of my MG SUV in gloss black. Scope of work: • Side mirrors (both) • Top two roof railings • Front grille The finish must be high-quality gloss black, with even coverage and no runs, orange peel, or overspray. Proper preparation is required, including cleaning, sanding, masking, and priming where needed, followed by clear coat if appropriate. I will supply all primer, spray paint, and required products. You’ll just need to provide tools, equipment, and labour. The parts can stay on the car or be removed, whichever you recommend for the best result. I’m flexible on the painting method (air-dry or oven-baked) and will defer to your professional recommendation. Budget: $400–$500 for labour only. Please have prior automotive spray-painting experience. Examples of past work are preferred. I’m after a professional finish, not a quick DIY job. Please include your availability, estimated timeframe, and quote.
