Seeking rates/estimates from a Gold Coast area mechanic who can transplant a working used engine from a scrap van into a campervan with broken engine. I have recently seen '00-'06 Ford Transit Mk6 LWB RWD 2.4TD van's for sale that are compatible candidates for 'repair' and 'donor'. The asking price total for both vans is cheaper than quotes for a used engine only I've received. I don't have hoise/tools/skills/space for a heavy engine swap but can DIY the rest of the project until roadworthy. I would (or you might) arrange for both vans be driven or towed to the workshop, and once the 'repaired' van can drive away on new motor, the donor will be taken to a scrapyard. Adding a $1k placeholder task budget until I receive indicative quotes from commercial mechanics, or experienced home mechanics with time and access to equipment.

Just looking for a quote . I drive an 09 ford fiesta manual and the drivers side needs a new wheel bearing and also need a new engine mount. Happy to take second hand parts as cars not worth much so looking to put as little into it as possible, just used as a run around. Not in a rush to get done so can wait for parts etc
