I have a client who's website I built on sqarespage in 2020, my client has been very happy with the business he gets from the site - a few calls every week, plus he has a lot of repeat clients. Because he is such an excellent electrician he is just about to hit 100 five star google reviews (which of couse is linked to his website), I will be doing a upgrade of his website in the coming months. However - here is the problem I don't know how to solve. So just recently Hi Pages are using his business name - and the have just added added a link which looks to be his website but then directed them to find a electrician on thier platform to try and people to chick on a buisness listing (which is his business name but with a space in between the first two letters of his business name, and they done something to bury his website which now does not appear on page one AND the link they have 'made' doesn't say sponsored post. The next two listings after their fake one, show links to his facebook and instergram pages - which I made when building his website, designed to create a few extra back links and I have of course got google to index his site (also something I will process with google once I have given his website a bit of redesign. Ill attach some photos but I won't put his actual web address until I appoint an Airtasker, for privacy reasons. Hoping one of the digital marketing experts on here may understand the problem - and may know a work around... just so his own website goes back tracking well - before Hi Pages set up this new trick - which they have clearly taken advantage of. He has tried consumer affairs, and other similar avenues - which have placed him in a que to get to him in 20 weeks. I will attach screenshots below in a minute an blank out the names to protect his privacy. We did some payed SEO which was successful but also very expensive. Lately he hasnt been getting many calls and this situation is greatly affecting his income.
