I’m looking for two friendly, capable Airtaskers to help out at my 40th birthday gathering at home, with around 20 to 30 guests. The celebration runs from 4.00pm to 10.00pm, with half an hour either side for set up and pack down, so I’m looking for help from approximately 3.30pm to 10.30pm. It’ll be a relaxed backyard celebration, and the main aim is to have a couple of extra pairs of hands so I can enjoy the night rather than worrying about food, dishes and tidying up! Tasks will include: • Heating and preparing pre organised food • Arranging food on platters and taking it out to guests • Keeping an eye on food throughout the evening and replenishing as needed • Keeping drink tubs/containers stocked and topped up with ice • Clearing used glasses, plates and general rubbish • Washing glasses and dishes as needed • Keeping the kitchen and entertaining areas tidy throughout the evening • Helping with a general tidy and pack down at the end of the night Drinks will mostly be self serve, so full bartending service isn’t required. If you happen to have cocktail making experience, that would be a fantastic bonus, but it’s definitely not essential. I’m looking for people who are friendly, proactive and comfortable working independently. Hospitality, catering or event experience would be ideal. Most importantly, I’d love people who are happy to keep an eye on things, see what needs doing and jump in, so everyone can relax and enjoy the night!

Our venue is completely BYO and whilst we’ll be doing 90% of it ourselves, we’d like a bit of help with a few things. - Heat up finger food in the oven for cocktail hour (party pies/sausage rolls) - Serving cocktail hour food to guests - Pulling out dinner catering and putting putting it onto serving tables with serving utensils ( guests will self serve) - Pull out the cake - Collecting and washing up plates, serving utensils/trays etc (cutlery and dessert cups are disposable and we will wash up our own wine glasses etc at the end of the night) and cleaning the kitchen. We have about 70 guests. Cocktail hour starts at 5 (so ideally arrive around 4:45) and we’ll need help until approx 7:30-8pm. This should be for about 2 people. I look forward to hearing from you!
