Looking for 2 reliable, experienced event/hospitality helpers for our wedding reception in Tooradin on Saturday 27 February 2027. Approximately 180 guests. We are having a buffet dinner and need two people to help keep the food service and venue running smoothly. Approx. 4:00pm–11:00pm (final hours to be confirmed). Duties include: * Setting up the buffet and bain-maries * Organising plates, cutlery and serving utensils * Monitoring buffet food throughout dinner * Replacing/refilling food trays from the kitchen when dishes are running low * Clearing used dinner plates from tables * Keeping the buffet and dining area tidy * Bringing out dessert platters * Collecting used plates into designated tubs/buckets * Basic cleaning and rubbish removal throughout the evening * End-of-night cleanup of buffet/service areas * General event assistance as required No bartending or alcohol service required. No formal table service. We will have separate people handling the wedding setup/decorations and catering, so your main role is keeping the food service, plates and cleanup running smoothly during the reception. Event Staff Needed – Private Party | Wheeler Heights | Sat 14 November We’re looking for 2 experienced, friendly event staff to help with a private party at our home in Wheeler Heights on Saturday 14 November. We’ll be preparing a relaxed Italian-style menu, including wood-fired pizzas from our home pizza oven, grazing food and simple dishes. We’re looking for people who are confident jumping between basic food preparation, cooking assistance, serving and keeping the kitchen running smoothly throughout the party. Tasks will include: * Food preparation and plating before guests arrive * Assisting with preparation and cooking of wood-fired pizzas * Replenishing grazing/food stations * Serving and clearing food throughout the party * Keeping the kitchen, food prep and serving areas clean and organised * Washing glasses, plates and cooking equipment as needed * Clearing rubbish and general tidy-up throughout the event * Helping with the final kitchen clean and pack-down We already have a dedicated bartender, so this role is primarily focused on food, serving and keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes. We’d love people who are experienced in private events or hospitality, proactive, capable and happy to just see what needs doing and get on with it. Approximately 4-5hours, with exact start/finish times to be confirmed. Looking for $40/hr per person.
