I’ve recently moved into my apartment in Surry Hills and am looking for someone to remove and replace the existing wooden scotia trim along the flooring. The apartment is approximately 42 m² internally, comprising an open-plan living/dining area, kitchen and separate bedroom. Unfortunately, the previous owner installed the flooring poorly, leaving uneven gaps between the flooring and walls. Wooden scotia strips were installed to cover these gaps, but I’m not happy with their appearance. What I’m looking for: • Removal of approximately 24–30 linear metres of existing wooden scotia trim. • Replacement with minimal, modern white trim that blends seamlessly into the existing white skirting boards. • Ideally, the finished result should look like one continuous skirting board, rather than an obvious additional strip along the bottom. • A clean, professional finish with neat corners and joins. • Supply of materials and installation. Important: The existing white skirting boards must remain in place. I’m only looking to remove and replace the wooden strips. I’m open to professional recommendations on the best type of trim to achieve a seamless, understated finish while still covering the flooring gaps. I’ve attached photos of the current condition for reference. Please provide a quote including materials and labour. Final measurements can be confirmed on-site.

I’m looking for someone to make and fit a neat, shallow cover over two wall-mounted NBN fibre boxes. Photo attached. The boxes together measure approximately 500 mm wide × 220 mm high × 80 mm deep. There’s also a cable loop below them. I’d like a simple white cover that blends in with the wall. It needs to: Come off easily and be refitted without tools, so the cupboard door beside it can be opened when needed. Have an open back and enough ventilation; it shouldn’t be sealed around the equipment. Leave the cables, buttons and indicator lights accessible. Be fixed to the wall, not to the NBN boxes, with care taken not to damage any cables. A lift-off panel or similar removable design would suit. Please include materials and fitting in your offer. Budget is $250; happy to consider a higher quote for a neat painted finish.

I have 3 ceiling mounted curtain rails to be removed. And 4 replacement ceiling mounted curtail rails to be installed. I have all the rails cut to size, the brackets, ceiling mounts and screws and plugs. New replacement rails will likely need new holes drilled. Ceiling is 270cm high, I have a small step ladder. Will need to provide own drill, bits, and stud finder.
