It's for a programming / heavy-compute / data project that's outgrown my current machine. Rough target: AMD Threadripper (32–64 cores), 128 GB+ RAM, fast NVMe. Looking for an experienced IT/network technician to assist me with setting up a new office network in Alexandria, Sydney. I work in IT and will be onsite completing the setup as well. I’m mainly looking for someone with good Ubiquiti UniFi and networking experience to assist with the network configuration and make sure everything is set up correctly. The office is approximately 18–20 users. All Cat6 cabling, data points, patch panels and the communications rack will already be installed by the electrical contractor. Equipment will be supplied and will include: (Welcome to suggest) - UniFi Gateway/Router - UniFi 48-port PoE switch - 2 × UniFi wireless access points - UPS and rack accessories (Not confirmed) - NBN/Internet connection Assistance required with configuring the UniFi gateway and switch, setting up the internet connection, Wi-Fi, basic VLANs/firewall rules, connecting the APs, patching the required data points and testing the network. I will be onsite assisting with the installation, patching, device setup and testing. Looking for someone with hands-on UniFi/business network experience who can work alongside me for the day. Location: Alexandria, Sydney Date and Time: TBC

PC hasnt been used in a few years and wont connect to monitor. One of the RAMs light up but the other one doesnt. Its not an issue with the ram itself as it doesnt light up in that same spot either. All pc lights turn on etc, just wont connect to monitor. Realistically probably just a battery or dust issue from not being used.

We have recently had NBN FTTP installed, with the NBN connection box (NTD) located in a bedroom at the front of our house in Zetland. We would like to leave the NBN box in its existing location, but relocate our Wi-Fi router to a more central position in the house to improve Wi-Fi coverage. We are looking for an ACMA-registered data/telecommunications cabler to: Run a new Cat6 Ethernet cable from the existing NBN box location to a central location in the house Conceal the cabling through the wall/ceiling/floor as appropriate Install and terminate Cat6 wall outlets at each end Connect/test the new router location and confirm the NBN connection is working correctly Advise whether it would be worthwhile running a second Cat6 cable at the same time for future use There is/will be a standard power point available at the new router location. House is located in Zetland, NSW. Please provide an indication of cost and confirm that you are ACMA registered and experienced with NBN/data cabling.
