Hi, I'm looking for a technician who can help me with a file carving/recovery and data extraction task. Details: I have a mix of about 10 JPEG images and short MP4 videos on a USB. I've run them through an online analyser and confirmed they contain appended data and embedded files. I can see the specific hex offsets showing where the embedded file data starts, as well as the expected file types and sizes. When I download and save the embedded carved files, I’m unable to open them. I’d like to see if there are files that can be restored/opened properly. Some examples of the hidden payloads are a mix of JPEGs, MP3s, GZIP archives and BZIP2. I have the info for each of the offsets corresponding to each file if that helps at all. Thanks in advance!
