Hi, I’m looking for an experienced carpenter/builder to help with a couple of jobs at my property in Bahrs Scrub. There are two parts to the job: 1. Shed sliding doors * 2 x sliding doors * Each door is approximately 2.7m wide * I need the doors/tracks installed and everything properly aligned and operating smoothly. 2. Carport wall framing * Carport is approximately 6m wide x 8m long x 3.5m high * I only need 3 walls framed — two 8m sides and one 6m end. * The framing will eventually be clad, so I’m looking for a solid, straight and properly braced timber frame. * I can supply the timber and other materials if preferred. I’m particularly looking for someone with good building/carpentry experience — ideally an experienced or retired/semi-retired builder or chippy who enjoys doing smaller private jobs. Would you be able to have a look at the photos/details and give me a ballpark price for labour for both jobs together? I’m happy to discuss the job and materials with you beforehand. Thanks, Wade

I have an open pantry space in my kitchen that needs to be fitted out with shelving and doors. Scope: ▪️Two narrow panels fitted to the sides of the existing kitchen cabinetry, for the doors to hang from. ▪️Doors to match existing IKEA melamine doors in the kitchen (confirmed a match is available). ▪️Fixed shelving mounted to the back wall with appropriate support underneath to hold the weight of glass jars, tins, and pantry items. Material open to the tradesperson's recommendation, doesn't need to match the IKEA melamine, but if it isn't melamine it will need to be painted white. ◾️Perforated copper inlay detail, will discuss placement and finish on site. ◾️No cabinet box needed, this is a simpler build attached directly to the space. Approximate Measurements: 238cm height, 74cm (opening) - 170cm (back) width, 58cm depth Details: ▪️Materials to be sourced and quoted by the tradesperson. ▪️Measurement to be confirmed on site before the job is priced. ▪️Budget shown is a rough guide only, final quote after inspection. Needed by end of September. Comparing quotes from more than one tradesperson before confirming, will go with whichever fits best for the job. Photos attached.

I’m located in Mount Warren park, QLD, 4207 Carpenter/Joiner Needed – Timber Tabletop with 5 Bowl Cut-Outs I need a timber tabletop made for our slime business display/testing station. The tabletop needs to be approximately 1900mm long × 600mm wide. I need 5 clean, evenly spaced circular holes cut into the tabletop to hold plastic slime bowls. Important: I don’t want the bowls sitting flush with the timber. I want each bowl to drop approximately halfway through the tabletop, so roughly half of the bowl is visible above the timber and the other half sits underneath. This is so kids standing around the table can easily see the slime inside the bowls. I can provide the exact diameter/measurements of the bowls before the job is started. I can also supply one of the actual bowls if needed to make sure the cut-outs are the correct size and the bowls sit at the right height. I’m happy to supply the timber myself, or if you can supply a suitable timber panel, I’m happy to pay the additional cost for the timber. For the timber, we’re looking for pine or a similar light-coloured, nice-looking timber that isn’t overly expensive. We want to keep the natural light timber look and grain visible once it has been clear coated. Open to suggestions I’d like all 5 cut outs and the outside edges to be nicely finished with no sharp or rough edges. The timber needs to have a nice smooth/sanded finish. If the timber is purchased already sanded and smooth, that is completely fine. I’d also like the entire tabletop sealed with a durable clear protective coating, including the inside edges of all 5 cut-outs, so it is protected from slime/moisture, easy to wipe clean, and still keeps the natural light timber appearance.
