Small, budget-friendly bathroom renovation. Previous plumbing repairs have been carried out due to water leakage affecting the adjoining bedroom wall. However, no waterproofing work was completed at the time, so I would like the existing plumbing and waterproofing assessed to determine whether there are any ongoing issues. Scope of work: 1. Plumbing and leak assessment * Inspect previously repaired plumbing to confirm there are no ongoing leaks. * Investigate any remaining moisture or water penetration affecting the adjoining bedroom wall. * Recommend any further repairs if required. 2. Waterproofing * Assess the existing waterproofing and identify any failures. * Remove existing finishes where necessary. * Complete compliant waterproofing of the required wet areas. 3. Microcement flooring * Prepare the bathroom floor for a microcement finish. * Ensure appropriate floor falls, drainage, slip resistance and compatibility with the waterproofing system. * Preference for a seamless, modern finish. 4. Frameless glass shower * Supply and install a frameless glass shower screen. * Ensure appropriate installation and sealing. 5. Existing wall tiles – TBC * Ideally, I would like to retain the existing wall tiles or paint/refinish them to minimise costs. * This will depend on the plumbing investigation, waterproofing requirements and the condition of the existing walls. * Open to economical alternatives if tile removal is necessary. Additional information: * Small existing bathroom. * Prefer to retain the current bathroom layout. * Looking for a cost-effective renovation rather than a complete rebuild. * Photos can be provided, and a site inspection can be arranged. Please provide an itemised quote separating essential repairs from cosmetic upgrades, including waterproofing, microcement flooring, frameless shower installation and any necessary wall repairs. I am happy to remove the old shower screen myself.
