Seeking an experienced contractor/handyman to complete a full kitchen strip-out, demolition, and wall preparation for new IKEA kitchen install.The project requires tearing out the existing kitchen layout and leaving the space completely clean,and ready for the cabinet installers. Demo & Strip-Out Remove all existing kitchen cabinetry (base units and overheads) and benchtops. Remove existing tiled splashback. Remove existing kitchen appliances (gas cooktop, electric under-bench oven, dishwasher, rangehood) and the old kitchen sink/tapware. Note: Licensed trades will handle the plumbing and electrical disconnections/mains isolation prior to your arrival so the site is safe to strip out. Wall Prep The kitchen has solid brick walls (not plasterboard). scrape, clean, and patch walls where required. Ensure wall surfaces clean, flat, and structurally sound so that the new IKEA suspension rails can be mounted flat against the brick. Rubbish Removal & Disposal Full waste removal inc disposal of all debris, cabinetry, old benchtops, tiles, and disconnected appliances (oven, cooktop, rangehood, dishwasher, sink). All tip/disposal fees to be included in quote. Site Logistics & Access Ground-floor apartment with easy access to the private courtyard directly to kitchen from main road - parking avail. Timing - within 1-2 weeks. Pls inc in quote - Your fixed price for the complete job and confirm availability.

Seeking someone with masonry demo experience to remove internal blockwork above a 1000mm wide doorway in preparation for steel lintel Appears to be solid terracotta + concrete construction (dense) requiring suitable cutting/demolition equipment capable of deep cuts. Also require quick removal/tidy up of thin line of mortar from where row of bricks have been removed on external side while on site. Additional details: -Single-storey -Non-load-bearing wall -Work being undertaken under the direction of a retired builder who is physically unable to complete this demo component for us -Door and jamb must stay in place -Full blocks can be removed if necessary (i.e. can extend beyond doorway width as done on external side) Please advise your experience with similar and the equipment you would use.
