Hi there, I need someone experienced with outdoor timber furniture/play equipment restoration to help bring a set of children’s play equipment back to life. The set includes: • A double play sink with timber frame • A small timber bridge • Timber balance blocks and connectors The timber has weathered and worn, and I’d like it sanded back and refinished with varnish so it’s smooth, protected, and safe for children to use. What’s involved: 1. Preparation - Clean down the timber (sugar soap/detergent wash) and let dry. - Check for any splinters, loose screws, or soft/rotting areas. 2. Sanding - Sand all timber surfaces (not just flaky spots) for an even finish. - Medium grit (120–150) first, then fine grit (180–220). - Special attention to edges, corners, and hand-contact areas. 3. Varnishing - Apply 2–3 thin coats of maintenance varnish (supplied). - Light sand between coats with very fine grit (~240). - Brush with the grain for a smooth finish. - Seal edges, end-grain, and high-moisture areas well (e.g. sink edges). Timing: - Ideally completed this weekend. - First coat one day, then return the next day (or shortly after) for follow-up coats. Location: Ascot, 4007 (easy access and plenty of space to work) Please let me know your experience with sanding, varnishing or restoring timber furniture/play equipment.

They are already fully dismantled and ready for pickup from a property in Goodna: • Vuly Trampoline – Lift Pro Large (BV1220) • Vuly Swingset – 360 Pro Large (BSWFL1) • Lifespan Kids 2.5 Monkey Bars Moose SP2004 They need to be: • Picked up carefully • Delivered to my new home in Ellen Grove (7 Pauline Ave) • Reassembled securely in the backyard (ground is level and accessible) Requirements: • Must have suitable transport (e.g. ute or trailer) • Experience with reassembling outdoor play equipment strongly preferred Tools required: Please bring appropriate tools (e.g. drill, spanners) My situation: I’m a disabled single mum recovering from recent spinal surgery, so physical support matters.
