We are seeking a talented freelance event or wedding photographer for 6 hours of coverage at our 100-guest cocktail wedding held at a private residential property in Mitcham. We are looking for a mix of structured family portraits right after the ceremony, romantic couple shots as the sun goes down, and a documentary-style approach to capture candid party moments under outdoor fairy lighting once it gets dark. The Vibe & Personality We Are Looking For: Because this is a relaxed backyard wedding, your personality is just as important as your portfolio! We are looking for someone charismatic, engaging, and confident—someone who can chat with guests, keep energy high, and step up to direct set poses and family groups efficiently without feeling stiff. The Schedule Overview: 3:00 PM (Start): Setup details, guest arrivals, and pre-ceremony atmosphere. 4:00 PM: Ceremony, followed immediately by posed family and bridal party portraits (we will provide a shot list and a loud family member to help wrangle!). Sunset (~7:00 PM): We'll sneak away for 20 minutes of couple portraits during golden hour. Evening (until 9:00 PM finish): Candid reception mingling, speeches, and dancing under the fairy lights. Deliverables: Colour-corrected, high-resolution digital image gallery (with personal print rights). Please outline your estimated editing turnaround time in your offer. Requirements: Must have proven event or wedding photography experience. Equipment: Full-frame camera setup with fast lenses and off-camera flash capability. (This is essential. From 8:00 PM to 9:00 PM, the backyard will be pitch black aside from the fairy lights, and we need crisp, high-quality dark shots). Our simple legal-only wedding ceremony will be at the Melbourne Marriage Registry on Wednesday, 2nd September 2026 at 2:00 PM. We’d love for you to be there to take a few shots during the short ceremony, and then afterward guide us to a nice location nearby for a photoshoot until the booked time is up. Hello!! My partner and I are getting married at the Old Treasury in East Melbourne. We are booked for the classic ceremony which is maximum 30 minutes long. Location: Old Treasury, East Melbourne Date and Time: 22nd August 2026 at 11:30 I would like photos to be taken before outside the venue, during the ceremony and after the ceremony outside the building and the grounds next to the location. Maximum 2 hours work. We are only having two guests with us and so mainly it will be photos of us and maybe a couple with our witnesses. We are doing it on a budget as we are expecting a baby!
