I have run Cat5e cable to two different in home sites. I have tested the RJ45 jacks and cable with a home tester and they both pass the test for all 8 wires. Yet when I hook up to a DLink switch (rather old) I get no light and devices on the other end of cable don't see the connection. I also need help as a separate matter with Google Home and Apple Home. I use both. They work but I can't set up to view and work with devices as I wish.
