The event will have a live audience and will also be professionally filmed and livestreamed online. We already have a production team in place and are looking for an experienced lighting professional who can work alongside our crew to make sure the court, talent, commentators, entrances, and other key areas are properly lit for a high-quality broadcast. Responsibilities Work directly with our production team, camera operators, and event staff Assess the venue and existing gym lighting Help design and execute the lighting setup for the basketball court and production areas Properly light athletes for broadcast-quality video Assist with lighting for player entrances, introductions, interviews, commentary areas, and other production elements Set up, position, adjust, and troubleshoot professional lighting equipment Minimize harsh shadows, dark areas, flickering, glare, and exposure issues on camera Make lighting adjustments throughout the event as needed Assist with breakdown of lighting equipment after the event Maintain a clean and safe setup around players, spectators, cameras, cables, and production equipment Who We're Looking For We are specifically looking for someone with professional lighting experience in one or more of the following: Live sports productions Livestreams / broadcasts Film or television production Concerts or live events Commercial video shoots Multi-camera productions You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced live production environment and communicating with a production crew. Professional gaffer, grip, cinematography, or broadcast lighting experience is strongly preferred. Equipment Please let us know what professional lighting and grip equipment you personally own or have access to, including lights, stands, modifiers, power distribution, cables, sandbags, etc. We can coordinate equipment requirements with the selected person ahead of the event.
