I have a ducted heating vent in the upstairs front bedroom that does not appear to be connected to the ducting behind the wall anymore. The previous owner mentioned that the vent was originally connected when the heating system was installed around 30 years ago, but the heating in this room has always been quite weak. I recently checked the roof space and noticed what looks like a branch outlet on the heating duct that may have originally connected to this vent. However, the duct itself appears to be missing or disconnected. I would like an experienced HVAC / ducted heating technician to: • Inspect the duct connection in the roof space • Check whether the vent was originally connected to the heating duct • Reconnect the duct to the vent if possible • Ensure the airflow to this room is working properly The house is a double-storey home in Melbourne with ducted gas heating. Access to the roof space is available. Please note: I have already checked the roof space and can show where the possible duct outlet is located.

I need a HVAC Technician to repair a Temperzone CC85R package unit (2000s model). The system has a burnt wiring fault and a visible refrigerant leak. Scope of Work: 1. Electrical Repair: Cut back heat-damaged/burnt wiring at the compressor/relay loom to clean copper and crimp new high-temperature spade terminals. 2. Component Replacement: Supply and install Start Relay 3. Leak Repair: Address active leak at the suction line T-junction (visible oil residue in photos). Replace Schrader Valve Core and check flare nut integrity. Aim: Clear any Low-Pressure (LP) lockouts, verify compressor start-up, and test system pressures. Important Notes: - The compressor has been tested and is not shorted to ground; the pins are intact. Refrigerant top-up to be charged separately per kg if required (please state your per-kg rate in the comments). Must have experience with Temperzone package units.
