I’m looking for an experienced HVAC / building performance professional to carry out an on-site assessment of heating, cooling, ventilation and insulation for my house at 76 Princes Street, Carlton North. The house is an older terrace with limited external openings, skylights, and an internal courtyard. It tends to retain heat, and I’d like an independent assessment of what’s driving this and how best to improve comfort and energy efficiency. Scope of the assessment: Review existing heating and cooling systems (type, location, effectiveness) Assess airflow, ventilation and heat build-up (including skylights and internal spaces) Inspect insulation to roof/ceiling areas where accessible, and note likely wall insulation issues Identify obvious air leakage paths or thermal weak points Provide practical, cost-effective recommendations (eg insulation upgrades, sealing, ventilation or HVAC improvements) What I’m after: Someone with relevant HVAC, energy efficiency, or building science experience An unbiased assessment (not a sales pitch) Clear explanation of findings, either verbally on site or with a short written summary No obligation to quote for works unless requested Timing: Flexible – weekdays or weekends by arrangement Please include your experience and what your assessment typically covers in your offer.
