Last weekend the electricity from my property’s power points went out, when I went outside I found the fuse tripped. Me and the local sparky tried to find the source of the issue. We replaced the 16A RCBO but still tripping. We think it’s water/moisture build up as it was raining. We opened up the power point outlets but they appeared dry so maybe moisture build up dripping into the joint cable area, touching exposed copper and shorting the circuit. Problem is it’s an older one bedroom cottage, built decades ago and I’m unaware of where the fault could be. The fuse immediately trips with all appliances disconnected and points set to off so I am unable to test individual power points. Hot water and lighting unaffected. Believe it’s water ingress but need to find the junction point to diagnose, dry and repair/replace wire. Need an electrician with advanced fault finding equipment. Note: only will complete this job if you are able to finish (that is find junction point and faulty connection/wire(s)) no need to go over old ground and know it’s not an issue with the circuit breaker or any one point being overloaded. Cables going to 1xliving area, 1x dining area, 2xkitchen, 1xlaundry, 1xbathroom, 1xbedroom.Cheers Please specify whether you have magnetic detection, cable tracer/tone generator, boroscopic camera etc. It is a sloppy build when it was constructed decades ago, with bumpy walls and confusing wiring but there must be a way of locating the junction box without pulling down the walls.

I have a gentrax gtx3500 inverter generator. Its brand new and i cant start it. I have been in contact with the supplier and they are sending me a bunch of directions. But i dont know what a spark plug is or carburetor or how to empty fuel lines? I just conected the battery but may have done it wrong. The instructions and manual are going over my head. I would like someone to get it started and show me how.
