The builder previously attended to fix a blockage using high-pressure water, but it didn’t solve the issue — it appears to have made things worse. My CX5 Akira has got the famous entertainment unit problem of the ghost touch where it switches channels and turns on controls without me giving it any instructions. I understand it’s possible just to replace the screen but I would be interested in options at actually replaced the whole unit to give us CarPlay as long as the rear camera still worked. I put the budget in for a repair but clearly if we’re gonna get a whole new unit it would cost more than this.
