I need an experienced concreter or capable handyperson to excavate a small garden bed and pour a concrete slab. The slab will support a new heat pump hot water system weighing up to 400kg when full. I will supply premix concrete & road base. THE JOB Pour a 650 × 650 × 100mm reinforced concrete slab in a garden bed alongside the external brick wall of my home. STEPS REQUIRED 1. Excavate garden bed to 200mm deep 2. Compact pit floor thoroughly 3. Lay 100mm road base / gravel, compact and level 4. Build and secure timber formwork for 650 × 650mm slab — positioned 80mm away from the brick wall 5. Place SL72 mesh on bar chairs inside form 6. Mix and pour premix concrete 7. Screed level and steel trowel finish MATERIALS I WILL SUPPLY ✓ Road Base 20kg × 6 bags ✓ Concrete Mix 20kg × 5 bags MATERIALS YOU SUPPLY ✓ SL72 reinforcement mesh (cut to approx. 600 × 600mm) ✓ Bar chairs ✓ Timber for formwork (100mm wide) ✓ Stakes or metal rods to hold formwork in place TOOLS Please bring all tools needed — mattock, spade, wheelbarrow, plate compactor or hand tamper, concrete mixer or trough, spirit level, screed board, float, steel trowel, saw, tape measure, safety gear.
