I've been using Solidworks on my HP laptop for a while and suddenly now when I try to open the program it gets stuck on the splash screen, freezing the whole computer. I've tried changing the registry and doing a clean uninstall and reinstall (as per Hawk Ridge systems guide) but still no luck. From what I've read it could be a graphics card problem but it was running just fine on my NVIDIA GEFORCE MX130 until last week. Looking for someone who could remotely help me get it back up and running.

Unsure if this task can be completed virtually or must be done in person. I was trying to remove malware from my PC and followed an online guide that said to remove a registry file. The one I was meant to delete did not delete but I accidentally deleted another one. I want to save data on PC if possible. When I turn the computer on it comes up with an error critical data deleted. It is directly related to the registry file I deleted. The computer came pre installed with windows.
