Looking for a highly experienced automotive paint correction specialist to inspect and correct a recent paint job on my Audi E-Tron, in which the person who did it, made mistakes. The vehicle was painted within the last 24–48 hours, but the finish has several issues that need professional attention, including: • Clear coat runs • Paint runs/sags • Swirl marks • Dust nibs and imperfections • Hard tape/blend lines • Areas that may require color sanding, wet sanding, cutting, polishing, and final paint correction I am NOT looking for a general detailer or someone who simply owns a buffer. I need someone with professional experience correcting fresh paint and clear coat defects who understands proper curing times and can advise whether the vehicle should be corrected immediately or allowed additional cure time. Requirements: • Must have experience with color sanding and paint correction • Must have corrected paint runs and clear coat defects before • Must provide photos of previous work • Must have professional tools and products • Must be able to inspect the vehicle and recommend the proper repair process • Must be confident working on modern Audi paint finishes Please include: 1. Photos or details of similar paint correction work you’ve completed 2. Your experience with fresh paint correction 3. Whether you believe the vehicle should be corrected now or after additional cure time 4. Your estimated cost and timeframe I am looking for quality work done correctly the first time. Hi, I recently had my 2006 Audi A4 inspected because the OBD system won’t communicate and scanners keep showing a link error. The shop diagnosed it as a K-line communication issue, likely wiring damage or a module pulling the signal down, but they weren’t able to fix it. Official diagnosis below: Findings: • OBD scanner shows “link error” (no communication) • Verified power and ground at OBD port • Tested Pin 7 (K-line communication wire): reading ~0.1V (should be ~10–12V) → Indicates communication line is being pulled low or shorted Actions performed: • Checked and isolated common causes of K-line interference: • Radio circuit • ABS system • Related fuses • No change after isolating these components Conclusion: There is a fault in the K-line communication circuit, likely due to wiring damage or a module pulling the signal down. This prevents communication with the vehicle’s control modules and blocks proper diagnostics. Recommendation: The K-line issue must be resolved first. This requires electrical/wiring diagnosis, which is a specialized process involving tracing the communication line through the vehicle.
