Suit alterations near you

One of the more affordable ways to get a fashionable suit is to purchase one off-the-rack. But, more often than not, these ready-to-wear suits don’t fit correctly. The pants may be a mite too short, the cuffs of the jacket too long, or you might want to narrow the sleeves and legs. As a rule of thumb, it’s best to get a suit that fits the widest part of your body and your shoulders (since jacket shoulders are tricky or almost impossible to alter). From there, your suit tailor can cinch in the narrower parts, such as the waist or sleeves. 

There are some limitations of suit alterations: suit tailors may be able to change collars, fix shoulder divots, and change the vent openings of a jacket. But, they usually can’t reshape the quarters of a jacket, change the lapels, nor change the button profile (from two-button to three-button). 

Suit repair

Caught your cuff on something sharp? Got a tiny hole in your favourite suit? No worries - a Tasker can get it fixed. Just note that some rips or holes will require reweaving, or even a patch if they’re too big. 

Made-to-measure men’s suits

Suit tailors typically offer this as an option that’s more affordable and less time-consuming to make versus bespoke suits, but fit better and are more premium than a typical off-the-rack.
