What do sports photographer services include?

This service covers sports action photography, sports documentary photography, and even sports stock photography. Though the specifics may vary from Tasker to Tasker, your photographer will usually offer prints or digital files as part of their package. In general, here’s what you can expect when you book a sports photographer via Airtasker:

Hourly packages

Photographers usually charge per hour, though most also offer half-day or whole-day packages. This is ideal for sporting events that last the whole day. You can also use these packages to take photos of various sporting teams in your school or university.

Sports portraits

Make every team member feel like an MVP by taking their portraits. You can book a sports photographer to take individual and team photos in the court, field, or pool. While you’re at it, you can also request a studio shoot, depending on your concept and theme. Do note that the rates may vary depending on the number of prints per athlete.

You can also hire a Tasker to handle sports stock photography for your fitness product or service. If you need a professional model, athlete or trainer to showcase your product, you can book one here.

Event coverage

Taskers can cover a game or an entire tournament. They can photograph school or community games as well as kids sports. They will typically charge per hour or based on the expected number of final prints or files. Ideally, it would be best if you discussed the expected shots with the Tasker before the big game. This may include photos of each player, photos with the trophy, and so on. Align with your Tasker beforehand so you can get the type of photos you envision.

Usually, it’s more cost-effective to work with the same photographer for the whole season. You can ask your Tasker if they are willing to cover a certain number of games over the next few months. This means less trouble booking a photographer and a consistent quality for all your photos!

Photo editing and retouching

Taskers also handle photo editing and retouching. This helps emphasise your team’s winning moments and tell the story of each game. Feel free to coordinate with your photographer regarding the type of editing you want them to do. You can also have this done by a Tasker who specialises in photo manipulation.

Delivery of final prints or files

Once the photos are edited or retouched, your Tasker turns over the prints or digital files. You may request for a photo book or album - if your Tasker offers this kind of material - or ask for files that can easily be blown up into banners.
