I want to start learning guitar and have been gifted a very basic Smaick electric guitar from my brother. I purchased an amp and a lead - only to learn that the pick up in the guitar is buggered! It must work to some extent because it crackles. I want to see if it's fixable for a price less than just abandoning it and purchasing something new. Is anyone confident they could open it up, take a look and fix it?

Rick was amazing - he diagnosed what he thought the problem was based on decriptions in our text exchange and proposed how he would fix it + confirmed his offer covered his time, tools etc. He even picked it and dropped off the guitar. As well he gave it a polish and a few additional tweaks. He went above and beyond. I 100% reccomend Rick's service.
