I purchased a new head unit stereo to replace the factory standard. I thought I'd give it a go myself and ordered in the leads, facia, and cables. I wanted to retain the use of the steering wheel controls. There are a couple of YouTube tutorials that make it seem easy however I was unable to get the steering wheel controls to work. I was ready to give it up but thought I'd see if I could find someone on AirTasker. Enter Mathew. What's great about Mathew is that he's seen quite allot of different car models and the different electronic inputs and when the head unit didn't work at first he applied his experience and got it working! This comes from experience and even though Mathew hadn't seen this combination of car model, head unit and controls before he got it working. He's got a great attitude and clearly wants to build his knowledge and tackle new problems.

The head unit is installed just needs wiring confirmed the Bluetooth volume doesn't work through speakers. Also need electrical work, 1. 4 logo signs (Lights) on doors rewired. 2. Hey mate, Install double din head unit and reverse camera. I have both items and wiring in the box Dash has space for double din and mounting frame. There’s a working single din unit already installed, so vehicle has everything to accept new head unit. New head unit fits facia. The camera is new so there’s no existing wiring for video. Car is 02 Suzuki Grand Vitara short wheelbase (sq420) I’d say the wiring that came with camera is long enough. Happy to bring the car to you if that helps. I’m 10k west of the cbd. Thanks in advance!
